Vie Griffin is a womenswear designer and pattern cutter whose practice bridges rawness with refined craftsmanship. Her work explores the archetype of "shapeshifting" to reflect the deep connection between humans and nature, drawing upon rural imagery, pagan folklore, and pre-colonial dress. Deeply informed by her Filipino heritage and a fascination with indigenous belief systems, Vie’s process is driven by the concept of transformation. Rather than replicating historical garments, she extracted the essence of ritualistic customs - from Breton tailoring to Pyrenean carnival hides - and elevated them into contemporary collections. She balances conceptual storytelling with technical precision. Alongside her practice, Vie has gained extensive industry experience through design and production placements at Eudon Choi, JW Anderson, and Victoria Beckham. These roles have sharpened her technical expertise and understanding of luxury studio environments.
