My name is Diana Gibbons, and I am a recent graduate from Falmouth University in Cornwall. My interests lie in the hand crafted; they lie in educating society to be anti-materialist. Let us teach people to value what they already own; mending their possessions and watching them take on whole new personalities. I would like to teach the world about designing with the end in mind; to not let clothing recyclability be an obstruction to creativity but a boundary that broadens the imagination. I want to remind everyone about the hand skills of the past; where slowness was cherished and ‘quickly’ was not necessarily an option. I have taught myself some of these skills which are quickly being forgotten; will you?
