Rooted in Scottish heritage, this collection explores the enduring traces people leave behind — the messages, marks, and symbols that outlast their makers. Drawing inspiration from the Pictish people of Iron-Age Scotland, the designs reinterpret that ancient visual language through contemporary womenswear, investigating how identity, memory, and craftsmanship are preserved through time. The Picts, known as tattooed warriors and skilled metalworkers, carved their stories into stone and metal as gestures of permanence against erasure, this collection honours that impulse.     A tactile balance of sheer and structured materials, from chiffon to leather, mirrors the juxtaposition of fragility and endurance. Metalwork, draping, and handsmocking draw a thread between ancient carvings and modern graffiti, exploring the tension between the organic and the man-made. In this way, the collection becomes its own act of mark-making — a designer leaving her trace in the same tradition as those who came before her, shaped by home and driven by the timeless human urge to be remembered.
