‘Y Dyn Cymru’, translating to ‘The Welsh Man’, is a visual enquiry into the relationship between Welsh culture and its influence on masculinity. This project explores its themes through the lens of fashion photography, underpinning its narratives with the role that menswear plays within the construction of a masculine identity. Though this is a love letter to the place that I call home, it is also a critique on the culture that shaped myself and many others into the people that we are today, for better or for worse.
