SISU is a contemporary womenswear collection inspired by the Finnish concept of resilience, determination, and courage in the face of adversity. The project explores how clothing can embody protection, strength, and transformation through the fusion of industrial aesthetics and experimental craftsmanship. Influenced by brutalist architecture, utilitarian workwear, and mechanical forms, the collection reinterprets traditionally masculine silhouettes as symbols of female empowerment. Textile innovation lies at the heart of the project, with reclaimed and deadstock materials transformed into handcrafted woven and constructed surfaces. By combining sustainable material development with sculptural tailoring and functional detailing, SISU presents resilience not only as a concept, but as a material process, celebrating women as powerful, adaptable, and enduring.
