Holly Shawyer is a diligent, experimental designer with an eye for creating a unique aesthetic. Specialising in menswear with a feminine twist, heavily inspired by the evolution of menswear garments and how this reflects changes in society, while exploring themes like transparency, vulnerability and freedom of self-expression. Whilst also including musical links, referencing artists like David Bowie, a pioneer for androgynous fashion, more specifically his song ‘Life on Mars’. Shawyer likes to reimagine traditional garments by pushing the boundaries of what is recognised as a specific garment, leaving her designs open to interpretation, much like David Bowie’s style of song
