“Moments shaped not by arrival, but by what happens in between.” Leqi Zeng is a London-based womenswear designer and a BA (Hons) Fashion Design graduate from the University of Westminster. Her practice explores contemporary femininity through movement, observation and the quiet beauty of imperfection. Her graduate collection, ‘In Between Gestures’, transforms the undone, oversized and unintentional into a contemporary form of elegance. Inspired by observations of women in motion, the collection captures fleeting gestures — skirts lifted by the wind, exposed linings, worn leather and fractured heels, where clothing reflects instinct rather than performance. Rather than striving for perfection, each garment is shaped through movement, imbalance and personal adjustment. Through draping, material experimentation and refined construction, Leqi creates womenswear that celebrates authenticity, translating everyday moments into quietly powerful contemporary silhouettes.
