Laced in secrecy explores my personal identity as a Filipina growing up in the western world. Using folkloric characters such as the Manananggal, I explore the duality between my two worlds. Inspired by Philippine architecture, delicate lingerie and 1920’s Philippine and western trends, I aim to embody the tension between adornment and barrier.
