This collection imagines a world where only two being survive the desert: Wild West women and scorpions. A barren, endless landscape, somewhere in the middles of nowhere, ruled by figures who were never meant to be soft, obedient, or domestic. These women descend from the outlaws and sharpshooters of the 18th and 19th centuries – Calamity Jane, Annie Oakley, Stagecoach Mary – women who refused to be housewives, cooks, or cleaners. Alongside them stand their contemporary echoes: women who embody masculine energy, queer identity, and unapologetic presence – Cate Blanchett, Tilda Swinton, Kristen Stewart, Janelle Monae, Ruby Rose, and others who bend gender, challenge norms, and take up space with quiet, magnetic power. The scorpion becomes the bridge between these eras. A creature often underestimated, misunderstood, or dismissed – until it stings. In this world the scorpion and the cow-woman are equals. The survive through strength, intuition, and a deep sense of self-possession. This fusion becomes the foundation of the collection: sharp silhouettes, masculine tailoring, armour-like structures, and a tension between hardness and vulnerability. Sustainability grounds the collection in the present. Upcycled second-hand and vintage denim jeans are reconstructed into new forms, carrying the marks of previous lives.
