My approach to fashion is designing fashionable and conceptual leisurewear for women to advocate wellbeing and personal empowerment, reflected from my graduate fashion collection entitled Cypriot Soak. Passionate about the seaside from reflecting back to my beach memories, I aim to design resort wear garments specialised to be dressed into comfortably after sea immersion and embracing the beach simultaneously appearing fashionable. My designs capture a vibrant colour palette representing Cypriot seaside scenery hues, conveying a sense of exhilaration throughout leisure wear. Employing constructive elements I love, such as ruffles and ruches, I enhance traditional garments by implementing voluminous ruffles to add drama. Achieved by conducting my complex pattern cutting technique, this involves the slashing of garment blocks. I enjoy applying my textiles and art skills to design garments depicting floral textile prints. Experienced in textile design, my designs will mainly feature hot pink Bougainvillea florals and various florals discovered from Cyprus digitally printed onto resort-like fabric, namely linen. To demonstrate practical aspects, my goal is to utilise with towelling material to assemble tailored jackets for a sea swimmer to dry into a fashionable garment, showcasing versatility. Expanding on versatility, I will knit swimsuits, promoting a swim piece that can be worn for not only sea immersion, nevertheless the garment can be embraced in casual or formal wear on the resort.
