As a designer and story teller, my practice explores the intersections of social marginalization and shared oppression. My collection, The Art of Tearing Apart, serves as a visceral response to modern capitalism, class divides, and personal mental health struggles. By merging upcycled fashion and deconstruction with grassroots rebellion and occult symbolism, I create garments that challenge the status quo. Spontaneity is an important part of my work, allowing materials to guide me techniques and layering of processes to find new prospectives. This collection, incorporates the use of talismans as protective armour, transforming systemic adversity into powerful, wearable resistance. Macrame counters consumerist ideals to find grounding and mindfulness.
