My concept is inspired by elegance, refinement, and the strength of modern femininity. Drawing from Princess Diana’s timeless, minimalist style and Florence Given’s powerful advocacy for body positivity, self-love, and women’s empowerment, I merge classic grace with bold contemporary messaging. This fusion reflects a woman who is both gentle and strong—confident in her identity and unapologetically expressive. Elements such as flowing gowns, clean silhouettes, and refined bow details echo this balance of softness and empowerment. To further strengthen the narrative of feminine empowerment, I incorporate structured corsetry as a prominent design feature. Historically seen as restrictive, the corset in my context is reimagined as a celebration of the female form rather than a limitation of it. By emphasizing natural curves, enhancing posture, and creating architectural lines, the corset becomes a symbol of confidence, autonomy, and self-expression. Its structural integrity contrasts beautifully with softer elements, embodying the idea that femininity can be both delicate and powerful. Floral motifs also play a central role in the development of this theme. Traditionally used to represent softness and beauty, florals in my work are approached through a more refined and layered lens. I explore botanical shapes through pleating, 3D appliqué, textural layering, and organic draping techniques. These floral-inspired details add dimension and movement to the garments, highlighting a sense of natural growth and transformation. The interplay between soft floral forms and the strength of the garment’s structure symbolizes the multifaceted nature of feminine identity—gentle yet strong, intricate yet purposeful.
