'Wherever You Go' and other projects such as 'Playing the Part' investigate the illusion of reinvention and the belief that changing our surroundings can fundamentally change who we are. Inspired by personal experiences of relocation and the pursuit of happiness through movement, the project reflects on the promise of a fresh start and the quiet realisation that distance alone cannot resolve internal struggles. The work considers how feelings of uncertainty, longing, and self-doubt persist regardless of geography, shaping our relationship with both ourselves and the spaces we inhabit. Through a combination of editorial photography, styling, collage, and exhibition design, I create narratives that blur the boundary between physical and psychological landscapes. Styling becomes a tool for expressing transformation and contradiction, while imagery and spatial interventions invite viewers to engage with themes of displacement, repetition, and self-reflection. The visual language of the project balances movement with confinement, exploring the contrast between external change and internal continuity. My practice is rooted in fashion's ability to communicate beyond clothing, using image, atmosphere, and experience to provoke emotional connection. By combining fashion communication with immersive exhibition methods, I aim to create work that encourages audiences to question their own ideas of escape, belonging, and identity. Ultimately, Wherever You Go is a reflection on the universal search for fulfilment and the understanding that meaningful change begins not with where we are, but with how we choose to confront ourselves.
