I am a womenswear designer focused on creating contemporary collections that celebrate craftsman-ship, quality, and comfort. My experience working at Columbia Road Flower Market has fostered a strong connection with the people and community around me, becoming a key source of inspiration for my design practice. Through observing daily interactions and capturing authentic moments through street photography, I explore the stories and individuality of the people we encounter in everyday life. This collection draws inspiration from a diverse range of garment archetypes: design for unique, playful, and effortlessly expressive individuals. It presents a versatile womenswear wardrobe, spanning elegant evening dresses to lightweight summer silk skirts and oversized cotton shirts. The silhouettes investigate fluidity, movement, and proportion, combining ease with refinement. Using minimal pattern-cutting techniques, I experiment with materials, textures, and forms inspired by the market environment. An extensive fabric selection process led my developement of this collection. The gestures and motions of flower wrapping inform the construction process, translating everyday rituals into design details. The result is a Spring/Summer womenswear collection that reflects a sense of community, individuality, and understated elegance.
