MA Fashion & Textile Design This Harmonic Weave menswear collection redefines Indo-Western fashion as a layered, post-colonial dialogue, blending my British heritage with my partner’s Indian background. The collection reinterprets colonial symbolism into expressions of post-colonial identity and pride, merging the British rose with the Indian lotus as central motifs. At its core, the work reclaims suppressed Indian craftsmanship through hand-block printing, handwoven Khadi textiles, and natural indigo dyeing. Traditional textile techniques are balanced with contemporary, sustainable tailoring such as structured suiting. Silhouettes are developed through innovative draping methods, creating forms that sit between heritage craft and modern design language.
