JXXX aims to establish an innovative aesthetic that is simultaneously romantic and subversive, through the deconstruction of traditional Eastern elements and their integration into contemporary fashion discourse. The garment silhouettes, which surpass conventional proportions to evoke the rockeries found in Eastern gardens, are embellished with traditional woven techniques of flowers and birds. This approach creates a dynamic, miniature landscape reminiscent of an Eastern garden. Additionally, the designs embody the poetic qualities of a Chinese painting touched by the evening breeze, resulting in fluid and flowing silhouettes. JXXX endeavors to challenge and dissolve the boundaries of gender and identity traditionally enforced by conventional attire. By deconstructing and reinterpreting archetypal figures such as lawyers, monks, swordsmen, and geishas, the designer constructs an aesthetic that is both enigmatic and Déjà vu. With his unique perspective, he penetrates the contemporary fashion system, seeking to create an atmosphere that is intimate and tranquil, yet subtly imbued with a sense of subversion. He emphasises returning clothing to its fundamental essence, rather than merely presenting high-concept illusions.
