YANZAYN is a contemporary menswear practice exploring new possibilities in tailoring through pattern-led construction and spatial garment structure. Rooted in traditional menswear, the collection investigates how familiar archetypes can be transformed through flexible cutting methods while maintaining clarity, functionality and wearability. The current collection draws inspiration from microgravity soft-cell (F2) formations, translating their fluid geometries into menswear pattern systems. Continuous curved seams, twisted panels, structural insertions and interlocking garment sections create garments that move beyond conventional tailoring, reshaping the relationship between body, cloth and surrounding space. Rather than treating garments as flat surfaces, each piece is developed as a three-dimensional structure that wraps, shifts and adapts to the body. The practice combines experimental pattern cutting with a strong understanding of tailoring techniques, balancing conceptual research with commercial relevance. Shirts, outerwear, tailoring and trousers are reinterpreted through controlled distortion, allowing familiar silhouettes to evolve without losing their recognisable identity. Material behaviour, precise construction and spatial volume play an equally important role in the design process, with each decision emerging through draping, pattern experimentation and iterative prototyping. Positioned between experimental fashion and contemporary luxury menswear, YANZAYN aims to redefine tailoring as a flexible architectural system where structure, movement and craftsmanship coexist to create a new language for modern menswear.
