Kristin Sigus is a womenswear designer with an interest in tailoring, craftsmanship, tradition. Taking these elements Sigus is trying to create pathways between the past and future/control and chaos, but mainly between art and clothes. The final collection ‘The Chewing gum Project’ is an exploration of changes in values over time. Chewing gum, something that is taken for granted today, is the main focus of the collection and stands also for the inaccessible ‘West’ in the Soviet Union.
