While I focused on the ligaments and bone structure as my main design inspiration, I am now using the way Leonardo Da Vinci drew the muscles. I found this as a great focal point to start my FMP project as the way the muscles connect and how they form around the body gave me an abundance of ideas. I firstly took these ideas and translated them into fabric samples as this I how I best start a project as it allows me to fully form ideas of what my garments could look like. The development of these samples allowed me to create what is now the main textile for my project, using seams to sew fabric together to create the look of muscles. I also carried on the 90’s inspirations for silhouettes as I wanted to push myself even further from my pre collection but for the two to be coherent with each other.
