Classically Ethereal

Specialising in Womenswear, I created a collection and portfolio documenting development and design processes. Classically Ethereal is a collection strongly inspired by the British countryside, taking my main inspiration from traditional British outdoor clothing and tea dresses, contrasting with the celestial and fictional side of nature. I want the collection to portray the feelings of indulging in the outdoors, and a nostalgia of a short but sweet British summer. As I was brought up in the country, it plays a huge part in my life, and I have come to appreciate it since a young age. It presents a whimsical view on the outdoors, showing how I saw the countryside while growing up - an imaginative, fictional view of nature. My final collection is formed through a range of garments, with a bright earth-toned fabric palette, the main fabrics being Organza, Tulle and Bouclé; the garments can be interchanged, layered together, or worn as singular pieces.
