Gone Fishing

As a womenswear designer, my main aim is to create garments that help people feel beautiful. I believe that everybody should be able to feel confident in their own body and wear garments that both reflect and support this. Enthusiasm, drive and optimism are key traits that allow me to remain motivated and push myself to create work that I am proud of. After working as a bridal stylist since I was 16, I have learnt that clothing has the ability to alter a persons perceptions and emotions towards their body and self. This was also made apparent to me after my diagnosis of scoliosis, a spinal deformity. It proved to me the strong importance of wearing well designed clothes to enhance feelings of self-love and self-worth. I have participated in live projects with Iceberg and Goldsmith Vintage and have shown my garment in New York Fashion Week, which lead to a feature in short editorial film 'Eve', which was nominated for several fashion film awards.
