Beauty in the Struggle, Ugliness in the Success.

My specialism is womenswear and I have a passion for sketching and fashion illustration. My projects often hold an underlying message which I translate into fashion pieces. I have a particular love for exploring societal issues. It is important to me that I communicate through the work I create, whilst still giving women the opportunity to feel empowered and beautiful. I am intrigued by how everybody lives such different lives and how our sense of fashion is intertwined within our identity and life experience. This is evident in my portfolio, with my final major project being based upon, the ‘struggles’ and the ‘beauty’ found throughout the British class system juxtaposed with its so-called ‘lower’ end. This shone a light upon how my life experience has impacted my own style and aesthetic. I hope to create impactful statement pieces that make viewers question their beliefs and why my design decisions have been made.
