Powerhouse

I am a London based, womenswear designer - skilled in both the design aspects and production side of fashion. Experience working in production, checking specifications, producing and developing illustrations and CADs to communicate to the manufacturers the specific requirement for each product. My final project ‘Powerhouse’ motivated me to address factors that resulted in fewer women working in ‘traditional male roles’. As an innovative designer I aimed to demonstrate that any industry can be inclusive regardless of the perceived gender bias. Taking key elements from workwear garments such as boilersuits and combining it with key design features of power stations, investigating both the buildings and the technology within them. I delved into creating a collection that would inspire women.
