"No Escape From Reality"

Isabel is from Bolton, Greater Manchester and moved to Sheffield when she started her degree in 2018. Before university, she attended Manchester Metropolitan University and completed a foundation year in Art and Design. Since moving 4 years ago, she has completed the BA Fashion Design (with placement year) at Sheffield Hallam University. She specialised in menswear for her final graduate collection, mainly focusing on queer culture, activewear and body dysmorphia. A lot of the inspiration came from Freddie Mercury and his backgrounds, she is heavily inspired by who he was and his confidence and wanted to portray this through her work. Isabel likes to use bold, vibrant colours throughout her work so for this graduate collection she chose pinks and yellow to display her research and design as best as she could. During her placement year she started her own business producing tote bags made from second hand clothing from charity shops or friends unwanted clothes.
