Elise George is a designer who uses digital practices to reduce the environmental impact of the design process. Her graduate collection ‘Mycelium Anomaly’ was created with Browzwear’s 3D design program VStitcher. Elise decided her goal for her collection was to not touch pattern paper, create only digital samples and not purchase any new materials. To achieve this, she sampled all her garments through VStitcher then laser cut the patterns onto material salvaged from recycling centres. The collection is themed round plants reclaiming living spaces and escaping reality through technology. These themes are echoed through fabrication techniques such as rust dyeing and use of natural dyes.
