I am womenswear designer focused on casual wear. My design aesthetic incorporates bold colours and surface design, mixed with utility creating a contemporary blend of styles. I interned at Bella Freud for a year, where I gained valuable insights into the design process from concept through to production. Approaching fashion with a responsible mindset is a large part of my process, always looking for new ways we can use and rethink clothing. My graduate collection features bold coloured abstract prints and was inspired by the idea of interchangeable parts so that each piece can be updated, replaced or mended without having to discard the entire garment. This concept was inspired by my father and brother who restore vintage cars; interchanging mechanical parts to create a restored final piece. Textile design also plays a large role in my collection with each piece embellished with eclectic embroidered and applique badges, developed from spare or waste fabric.
