Cyclical

Growing up in a small village in Somerset I’ve always been encouraged to question and study everything around me. This has developed my personal style to be very ordered, clean, elegant and minimal. Specialising in womenswear, I design garments with simple silhouettes and a focus on detail. I’m naturally drawn to more neutral and organic colours. Drape and different 3D starting points feature within initial concepts of my design work. My graduate collection is inspired by the concept of body dysmorphia and disguising/ distorting the human form, initial ideas were developed on the stand through drape and exploring different fabric types. I became fascinated with the circular ‘patterns’ used within plastic surgery techniques and this led to circles being incorporated into the cut of each piece, through drape, and cut. I also used a cotton organdie to overlay circular shapes creating further detail on this clean, feminine and elegant collection.
