My inspiration for the collection was drawn from archive family photographs of holidays in the south of France in the late 80’s and early 90’s. Summer weight fabrics such as linen, cotton and medium weight wools were the predominant fabrics for the collection. Silk mix fabrics also added soft textures to the garments which embody the types of fabrics which are worn on warm summer days. Many of the fabrics were made using natural dye techniques and non-toxic methods by hand in Japan creating unique and one-of-a-kind fabric handles. Light weight yarns such as cotton cashmere and alpaca also added to the textures and surfaces of the collection and my knitwear garments.
