On The Move

This collection is about how my mum migrated from Vietnam to England but during the time she came here she had to stop in China which she ended up staying there for a couple years. I wanted to explore the different characteristics of her personality as she lacked confidence when she was living in Vietnam as she was a working class woman who was working in the markets and in China she was a waitress. My mum then came to England and she never looked more alive, her style and the way she presents herself drastically changed and instantly she called England her home. In this collection I also went into looking at what she would bring whilst she was traveling, her own personal baggage that she carries with her.
