Irreal

I am Stella Ollus, a creative thinking womenswear designer. I enjoy combining my passion for art and fashion to create outstanding pieces with innovative and sustainable design details and material processes. My aspiration is to make people feel beautiful and confident, which is why I especially enjoy making designs with flattering pattern cutting in mind. I draw inspiration from different topic areas, but often take influence from art and artists that inspire me. My FMP collection, Irreal, for example, combines themes from my nightmares with characteristics of the surrealist art movement. I find it interesting to research in depth the history of different art and implementing my findings to fashion design. I also found it interesting to research a personal subject, my own nightmares, and translating my findings into design features. This process of creating something beautiful from a difficult subject, helped me work through some of the issues I had with my repeating dreams.
