My collection explores personal identity and the role of clothing in self-expression. I took inspiration from feminist movements such as the 1990s Riot Grrrls and Pussy Riot, and combined this with aspects of tailoring and the notion of power dressing to blend contemporary tailored garments with softer knitwear pieces. I push the boundaries of what silhouettes I can achieve with different fabrics, using recycled wool suiting fabrics appliquéd on to one another to create graphic new textiles.
