The Rainbow Warriors

The Hopi Prophecy of The Rainbow Warriors tells of people from all corners of the Earth, coming together in union to save our Mother Earth in her final hours. My collection imagines these Neo- tribalistic warriors, living in a dystopian future, having returned to nature. I’ve called on the influence of tribes from my own Celtic heritage, using linen and wool, and employed techniques from the Hopi tribe such as tasselling, and the wearing of animal skins to keep the spirit of the animal with the wearer. I adorned my garments with found objects from my environment, such as string, driftwood, shells and metal washers foraged from the street.
