Explore the 2025 NEW WAVE: Creatives here.
Today, the British Fashion Council (BFC) unveils its 2025 NEW WAVE: Creatives, a list of the 50 most innovative and inspiring young creative talents who play a critical role within the fashion industry globally. The dynamic list includes trailblazers from across multiple disciplines including casting directors, photographers, art directors, hair and makeup artists, image makers, nail artists, set designers, stylists and cultural commentators. The final 50 will be celebrated as part of The Fashion Awards 2025 presented by Pandora (TFA) on Monday 1st December 2025 at the Royal Albert Hall, London.
The final list is a resource for the global fashion industry which can support and inform the curation of teams for creative projects - accessible here. This list is invaluable to the work of the BFC who continues to support and engage NEW WAVE: Creatives alumni for its programmes, events and initiatives. Previous alumni include Aidan Zamiri, Campbell Addy, Harry Lambert, Kai Isaiah-Jamal, Rafael Pavarotti and Sinéad Burke.
The list highlights London’s position as an international hub of creativity and pays homage to the incredible success of both home-grown and international talent. As the purpose-built portal, the NEW WAVE: Creatives 2025 will benefit from year-round social media support across the BFC’s channels.
Laura Weir, Chief Executive, British Fashion Council: “NEW WAVE: Creatives capture the pulse of the current fashion landscape - bold ideas, diverse perspectives and boundary-breaking talent. These are the creatives reimagining what fashion can be in storytelling, image-making and culture. We can’t wait to honour them this December.”
This year, voting began in July with nominations from the NEW WAVE: Creatives from 2024. This allowed the previous year’s community to support their industry peers and directly influence 2025’s outcome. An influential industry panel then defined the final group of recipients for 2025. The panel featured some of the global fashion community’s most respected voices, including: Ana Takahashi, Celebrity and Editorial Make-up Artist; Anita Chhiba, Founder of Diet Paratha; Anna Cofone, Celebrity and Editorial Hair Stylist; Bunny Kinney, Editor-in-Chief of Dazed Beauty and Creative Director of NOWNESS; Charles Jeffrey, Fashion Designer and Creative Director of Charles Jeffrey LOVERBOY; Charlene Prempeh, Founder of A Vibe Called Tech; Duran Lantink, Fashion Designer and Creative Director of Jean Paul Gaultier; Éamonn Freel, Visual Artist and Photographer; Edward Buchanan, Art Director, Consultant and Fashion Director at PERFECT; Isamaya Ffrench, Make-up Artist and Beauty Founder of ISAMAYA; Isabel Bush, Casting Director and Art Director; Jeanie Annan-Lewin, Stylist and Contributing Fashion Editor at British Vogue; José Criales-Unzueta, Fashion News Editor at Vogue Runway; Madeleine Østlie, Casting Director; Martine Rose, Fashion Designer and Creative Director of Martine Rose; Yu Masui, Fashion Journalist and Consultant; and Zackery Michael, Fashion Photographer.
