The British Fashion Council (BFC) announces that Little Simz will be honoured as a Cultural Innovator at The Fashion Awards 2025 presented by Pandora, taking place on Monday 1st December at the Royal Albert Hall in London. The Cultural Innovator Award celebrates a leading innovator and imagemaker in the entertainment industry, who over the course of the year has had a profound impact on the fashion industry and wider culture.

Little Simz is a multi-award-winning artist, holding BRIT, Mercury Prize, MOBO and Ivor Novello awards. She began her career distributing mixtapes at school and gained early recognition after winning Breakthrough Artist of the Year at Gilles Peterson’s Worldwide Awards. Her debut album, A Curious Tale of Trials + Persons (2015), won Independent Album of the Year at the AIM Awards. She has recently completed an international tour for her latest studio album Lotus that debuted in the UK Top 3 earlier this year, marking another chapter in her evolution as a world-leading artist and cultural voice.

This year, Little Simz became the youngest curator of the Southbank Centre’s Meltdown Festival, following the likes of David Bowie, Grace Jones and Nile Rodgers. She also played a starring role in the film STEVE alongside Cillian Murphy. This follows her acting debut in Netflix’s series Top Boy. She has graced the covers of British Vogue, ELLE UK, Dazed and The Face.

Laura Weir, Chief Executive, British Fashion Council: “Little Simz is a generational voice whose work expands culture itself. She is fearless in her creativity, uncompromising in her honesty and endlessly inventive in the way she brings music, fashion and storytelling together. She reshapes the landscape rather than simply moving within it, setting new standards for what British artistry can be.”

The British Fashion Council thanks its Principal Partner Pandora and all partners and supporters whose commitment makes TFA possible: Official Partners - eBay and The Peninsula London.
