The Fashion: Design and Construction programme at Carmarthen School of Art has evolved in response to contemporary fashion culture and recent developments within the fashion design industry. The programme aims to develop students’ abilities and confidence in designing and constructing garments through practice-led experience and processes that foster the development of individual design identity. Class sizes are small and tutor contact is second to none.

The fashion industry is a fast-moving, competitive market place. This programme develops reflective graduates who are highly creative, independent, enquiring individuals, versatile and capable of meeting its challenges and working effectively and successfully within this professional context. Graduate success is high, with many students developing their own fashion labels, while others have found employment designing within larger design houses or within the wider fashion sector.
