Art School redefines the limitations of ready-to-wear, blurring the lines between menswear and womenswear to create a modern representation of non-binary clothes. Directed by the creative partnership of Eden Loweth and Tom Barratt, the label is informed by the designer's backgrounds in menswear and art criticism, celebrating the idiosyncratic nature of queer style. Art School is a platform for the designers to express their ideas both in design and art using luxury fashion as a communicative tool to explore contemporary queerness. The founders and their community's non-binary gender identities inform the brand and play a vital role within their work. Art School was founded in 2017 and launched at LFWM as part of Fashion East's prestigious menswear presentations for the AW17 season. The brand quickly progressed to join the MAN showcase in the following season and is currently stocked in stores such as Matches, Selfridges, H.Lorenzo and Shyness.
