My collection delves into the politics of identity and deeper truths of racism in Britain today. It is a representation of my dual identity, it embodies the beauty of traditional Zanzibar dress and UK streetwear. My grandad owned a second hand clothes shop in Tanzania during the late 70s -80s. Clothes from the US and the UK would make their way to Tanzania to be sold, this inspired me to upcycle football shirts within my collection.
