The British Fashion Council Press Committee has today announced ‘The
Power List’ of the 25 most influential people working in Britain’s
fashion industry today. The list includes designers Alexander McQueen,
Christopher Bailey, Hussein Chalayan and John Galliano, models Kate
Moss and Naomi Campbell, photographer David Bailey and make-up artist
Pat McGrath amongst others. As ‘The Power List’ was voted for by the
BFC Press Committee, chaired by Lucy Yeomans, it was decided that no
press should be included.
The Power List has been created as part of the 25 Years of British
Fashion celebrations, the celebrations culminate with the 25th British
Fashion Awards which will held tomorrow evening at the Royal Courts of
Justice, WC2 and will be attended by 500 industry leaders, celebrities,
designers, retailers, models and journalists to celebrate the best of
British fashion.
