Lynda Petherick

Lynda leads Accenture’s retail and travel business across the UK and Ireland. In addition, she leads Accenture’s sustainability innovation work across the UK and Ireland, as well as sustainability programmes in the retail sector across Europe. She has worked extensively with executives across the fashion and wider retail sector over the past 8 years.

Prior to this, Lynda spent 20 years in financial services, including 7 years at Barclays. Lynda was there during the financial crash of 2000 and cites the leadership experienced gained as some of the most formative of her career. The resilience and tenacity built during this time has helped in advising other leaders how to transform their business while navigating the disruptions of a pandemic and other market shocks.

Passionate about sustainability, Lynda believes that bold, transformative change is required across the entire retail supply chain and broader business ecosystem.

Lynda was recently invited to join the Board of the British Fashion Council as a Non-Executive Director. In this role, she will combine her ability to mobilise and lead industry transformation with her track record of advising the fashion sector on sustainability initiatives.

Lynda also believes in harnessing the power of junior talent – who are purposeful and brimming with ideas – to accelerate our positive impact on our world. She established Accenture’s sustainability incubator programme in the UK to help fashion and beauty brands do just that.

Lynda and her husband have a son who is an avid rugby player, and so much of the weekend is spent supporting him from the touchline. She splits her time between London and Dorset.
