Project aim - To bring together inspirations from straight lines of the power suit and abstract sculpture work into a collection that celebrates connecting things that shouldn’t fit. I have used experiences from my own life as an autistic transgender person who deals with obsessive compulsions and masking behaviour regularly. I wanted to show the highs and lows of neurodiversity with my compulsive phrases prints that feature on my collection. These phrases are sentences that repeat in my head uncontrollably and can be considered a help sometimes or it can hinder. This collection is my love letter to neurodiverse and trans people like me, especially to those we have lost to suicide due to a lack of transgender healthcare and mental health services. Which I wanted that to reflect in every aspect of my design work, as well as in models and any future shoots."
