London Men's Week Talk Series

The British Fashion Council (BFC) talk series will run daily through LCM and feature thought-provoking and inspiring speakers from the industry offering insights from the global fashion community to fashion interested consumers.

Punk London


The BFC has helped curate #PunkLondon: a year long series of events, gigs, films, talks and exhibitions to celebrate forty years of punk heritage in London.

Celebrating Forty Years of Punk with Paul Smith and Derek Ridgers

Friday 10th – Monday 13th June 2016

To celebrate the 40th anniversary of punk, Paul Smith will host an exhibition of the work of acclaimed British photographer, Derek Ridgers. The exhibition will take place in the gallery space at the Paul Smith Albemarle Street store and be free of charge. To coincide with the exhibition Paul Smith will be releasing an exclusive run of limited edition t-shirts featuring Ridgers’ seminal photographs. Prints of the artwork and signed copies of Derek Ridgers’ new book Punk London 1977 will also be on sale. British fashion photographer and director of SHOWstudio, Nick Knight, will host an interview with Ridgers that will explore Ridgers’ documentation of subcultures and early punks. The interview will be available to watch at the exhibition and also online at showstudio.com.

Anarchy in the UK

Punk 1976 - 78

Starting with the impact of the Sex Pistols in 1976, this exhibition will explore punk’s early days in the capital and reveal how its remarkable influence spread across music, fashion, print and graphic styles nationwide. Showcasing a range of fanzines, flyers, recordings and record sleeves. For more information click here.

From King’s Road to King’s Cross: The Story of Punk Clothing
Tuesday 31st May – Saturday 11th June 2016

This exhibition is a partnership between King’s Cross and Central Saint Martins and showcases fashion from the King’s Road to King’s Cross, giving an insight into Punk’s influence across London’s communities and landscape. For more information click here.

Punk at the Museum of London

Wednesday 1st June – Sunday 31st July 2016
Museum of London, 150 London Wall, London EC2Y 5HN
During June 2016 the Museum of London will exhibit objects relating to punk. Focusing on clothes of the ‘ordinary’, rather than the celebrity London punk, the display will also include ephemera such as flyers and fanzines, photographs and oral history. Early in 2016 the museum worked with Central Saint Martins students to find surviving punk objects to add to the museum’s existing collection which will be featured in the display. The Class of 76

PunkArt have put together 'The Class of '76', a mixed media exhibition of collage and prints featuring the first wave of bands that created what we now recognise as the last rebellion, where music and fashion youth culture collided. For more information click here.

Jermyn Street Catwalk Show


St James’s hosts Jermyn Street Catwalk Show to celebrate London Collections Men

Jermyn Street will be transformed into an open air catwalk for the second time, as St James’s hosts a series of men’s fashion shows for the public, to celebrate the most important date on the menswear calendar, London Collections Men (LCM). Londoners are invited to share the front row of a catwalk show with global fashion leaders, media and celebrities. There will be four shows on Jermyn St throughout the day with over 2,000 people expected to visit this specially constructed catwalk. Brands participating will include heritage names such as John Lobb, John Smedley, New & Lingwood and Turnbull & Asser as well as contemporary, newly arrived names including Barbour International, La Martina, Sunspel and Tiger of Sweden. The Business of Fashion

Arde Architecture and Design Event
