The ‘Pink is Power’ collection aims to empower women to embrace their femininity and express this as their power. By looking through old family photo albums, I was inspired to merge the utility wear that my female ancestors wore in the Womens Land Army during WW1 and WW2, combined with the excessive trims of Victorian dress and crystal details from my mantle lustres. I have incorporated sustainability, through using natural and/or organic fibres, natural dyeing methods, and multifunctionality.
