My design aesthetic focuses on accentuating the female hourglass and flattering silhouettes with a high level of attention to detail and garment construction. Alongside my degree I work as a freelance designer and studio assistant for Miscreants - creating designs, factory specification packs, and liaising with suppliers and manufacturers - I have also been selected for Graduate Fashion Week’s ‘Talent of Tomorrow’ Campaign. My collection is based around a modern take on the Elizabethan Era. Dramatic style with opulent embellishments and intricate Laser-Cut Patterning. Juxta-posing traditional Elizabethan rigidness volume and princess pleating, with modern ultra-feminine flowing fabric. This collection combines the versatility of Maria Grachvogel garments, as well as the beautiful billowing silhouettes traditional to 1950’s Balenciaga Couture. I wanted to focus on getting the most out of our clothing, and the final product is a dress that can be transformed into 8 different looks.
