I am Phoebe Hassell, an artist, and fashion design graduate from Birmingham City University, who specialises in womenswear. My portfolio showcases my sustainable, sportswear collection, looking at rap legend, MF DOOM. His music has had a huge impact on me, and I have always been fascinated by the character he portrayed. I focused on his iconic metal mask, love for comic book villains and his want for privacy and anonymity. My final garments were created using old hoodies, sweatshirts, and tracksuit bottoms, which I hunted round charity shops for, as well as some generous donations. I think it’s important we utilise the resources we already have and show you can still look cool wearing second hand!
