The Fashion Programme at LCF works uncompromisingly towards finding ethical and environmentally practices that will change the fashion system.
Courses include MA FDT Womenswear, MA FDT Menswear, Graduate Diploma FDT, BA FDT Womenswear, BA FDT Menswear. Each student within the programme is given space to find their own voice giving rise to negotiated individual outcomes and perspectives which explore multiple facets of fashion within an ethical framework.
The class of ‘25 offer uncompromising personal perspectives on issues related to identity, migration and belonging to provide a mirror to injustice and hope that, through fashion design practice, we can break down systems of oppression to embrace plurality and celebrate the complexity of human existence and experience.
Students push the boundaries of what menswear and womenswear mean, exploring varied gender and non-binary perspectives.
The work highlights a broad spectrum of voices through critical discourse and lively debate. Investigating the meaning of contemporary fashion whist recognising and challenging historical knowledge, craftsmanship, and techniques.
The team works with students to find a balance between conceptual and wearable collections through innovative pattern cutting, finishings, and in some cases redefining tailoring, giving the collections a professional edge. Students have industry experience and are highly employable due to their individual, sustainable thinking with extensive skills and knowledge.
