Norwich University of the Arts (NUA) empowers students to assert their unique design identity. Creativity, technical excellence and professionalism are core as the students learn design and make skills to shape their career. NUA promotes innovation in pattern-cutting, construction, sourcing, digital design, drawing and presentation. Awareness of fashion history and contemporary issues around ethics and sustainability are embedded through the course, with contextual awareness shaping graduate collections and professional ambitions. Industry lectures feature diverse perspectives adding context to the student’s business awareness and skill-building include entrepreneurialism, self-promotion and collaboration. Students demonstrate flexibility in their portfolio through competitions and briefs for companies such as Ralph Lauren, Escada Sport, Oasis, Converse, Superdry and Alberta Ferretti.
