In recent years I have become more aware of the drastic effects fashion has on the planet and the importance of green practices for its survival. Therefore, sustainability is at the heart of everything I do. My collection emphasizes that second hand unwanted items can breathe new life through the process of deconstruction and reconstruction, creating one-off pieces with an individual style. The message I want to portray through my clothing is “Upcycling garments is hugely important for both the planet and its people; we need to combat landfill waste and re-use and recycle wherever possible in order to save the natural world”. With a hope that I can inspire others to make small changes for a better world.
