Something Blue

‘Something blue’ is a 2022 menswear ready to wear collection which examines my personal history under three main topics; oceanic feelings, genderless love and cats and femininity. Oceanic feelings is all about my Italian heritage and memories of the seaside city where I grew up. Genderless love is in relation to my sexuality and the idea of ‘union’ approached differently by my family. Cats and femininity is based on the connection with my queer side and the ‘crazy cat lady’ that I am. My design aesthetic focuses on redefining the limitations of sustainable ready to wear, celebrating the individuality of queer style and breaking the gender roles applied by society. A love of tailoring and craftmanship is at the basis of my design practice and underpins everything.
