Iran in the (g)olden days

My work is rooted in functional western menswear infused with key references from my Persian heritage and my family history. Using modern innovative fabrics to tell organic stories with nods to my experience of city living through the lens of my Iranian upbringing. Due to never visiting Iran after leaving in 2002, the projects I do allow me to find out new things about my home country and feel more connected. I’m fascinated by intricate prints and the technique of layering various fabrications. I’m naturally more drawn towards tailoring but not necessarily traditional. Celebrating and taking Iranian traditions and art and putting my own modern twist to it.
