The Extinction Of Hope

Nepal, as a nation has suffered for many decades – from natural disasters to a corrupt government. The 2015 catastrophic earth-quake was the last straw for the people; hope became extinct. Prayer flag holds very powerful symbols – it is believed that they spread peace and prosperity. These flags can be found proudly soaring in the sky from the east of Nepal to the west, yet peace is not obtainable – and without peace there is no hope. Last year I had returned to Nepal after 12 years. Although it was the same place and the same people, however there was a sense of defeat. This collection stems from my own frustration and from the despair from my nation.
